Easy, Beginner-Friendly Coffee Hike to Pisgah Waterfalls

About the Hike:
This hike is a perfect way to get a short morning hike in and see two amazing waterfalls. This is one of the few waterfalls you can hike behind, and we’ll hang out behind the falls to enjoy our coffee together. We’ll show you how to make great coffee outside including filtering the water straight from the waterfall. Donuts, coffee, and a waterfall hike - honestly it's the best way to start a day!
Fitness Level:
Moderate - some uphill climbs and stairs at the beginning but nothing crazy
Trail Conditions:
This is mostly a wide dirt trail with some stairs at the beginning and end of the hike. After hiking uphill at the beginning its mostly rolling hills with a slight incline to the falls and almost all downhill on the way back. To get behind the falls some walking over roots and rocks is required.

What You’ll DO:
Bonus points for this hike, because we meet at Velvet Cup coffee truck right at the entrance to Pisgah for some hot mini donuts (included in the price) before heading in to the forest. You'll follow your guide in your car so you don't get lost looking for the trailhead parking,
We will make a pitstop by Looking Glass Falls and then drive about 3 more minutes to the trailhead to begin our hike.
We’ll hike about 0.7 miles to Moore Cove Falls where we’ll make coffee together and enjoy some time hanging out behind the waterfall.
It’s a nice wasy stroll back to the parking area. From here, you are close to Brevard NC, a great place to explore shops and grab lunch. There are also lots of hikes nearby to recommend, so ask your guide for some local recommendations to help make your trip to the mountains your best one yet.
